Welcome to my website! I'm Francis Jones, author of Adventures with an Englishman.
About the Author Francis Jones, born in England was the youngest of four children, educated at private schools and the Royal Naval College in Devon. He served in the Navy through WW2 and was invalided from the Navy in 1946. With no profession left, many jobs until marriage in 1947. He and his wife emigrated to Zambia but returned because of Mau-Mau unrest in Kenya.
After research work, and managing a sail loft in Ireland, they went to America. He worked for GE and others, and finally his own business before retiring, in 1988 to travel.
About my latest book, Adventures with an Englishman It took me three years to bring the book together in 2009 and during that time I lost my wife of sixty years to the complications of Diabetes. A baleful time best left alone. Now after tearful and agonizing moments, I can again hold my head up, and have come to the point of being published. I hope you, whoever you are, will enjoy the ups and downs of life international and the strangest corners into which one can find oneself.
